Kering

Artémis holds a 40.9% equity stake in Kering, a global luxury goods group of fast-growing iconic fashion, leather goods and jewellery houses: Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Brioni, Boucheron, Pomellato, Dodo, Qeelin, and Kering Eyewear.

Founded in 1963 by François Pinault as a timber and building materials trade company, Pinault group grew quickly to become the leader of the sector in France. In the early nineties, it made its first major strategic shift by investing in retail business. At the turn of the century, the company made another shift with the acquisition of Gucci, followed by Saint-Laurent, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta and Boucheron, among other Houses.

Driven by a unique vision of luxury that combines daring with sincerity, Kering is now one of the most creative, innovative and influential luxury groups in terms of sustainable development.

Kering's longstanding commitment to gender equality, the pioneering methods employed by the Group to measure and reduce its environmental footprint, and its desire to drive profound societal change - even beyond its own business sector - have established it as a global benchmark for sustainable corporate development.

In 2016, Kering relocated to its current head office at 40, rue de Sèvres, occupying the former Laennec Hospital following completion of an ambitious remodelling project that has breathed vibrant new life to a building with around four centuries of history.
