Château Latour

Premier Grand Cru Classé - Pauillac
  • Premier cru classé since 1855
  • 229 acres
  • 750,000 vines

Set in the heart of the Médoc region of France, within the famed Pauillac AOC area, the world-famous Château Latour has been rated “Premier Cru Classé” since 1855. The estate of 222 acres benefits from an exceptional location, by the Gironde estuary. Backed by Artémis, the domain constantly pursues excellence to keep on producing one of the world’s very best red wines.

Château Latour produces three wines from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grape varieties: Grand Vin de Château Latour, Forts de Latour, and Pauillac de Château Latour.Eager to protect the environment’s quality and that of its vines, Château Latour started developing organic and biodynamic processes in 2008, progressively moving away from conventional products to treat vines for disease, and going back to using farm animals to plough the land.In order to anticipate new consumer trends, Château Latour decided that it would no longer carry on with the traditional system of en primeur sales and would from now on only offer a selection of vintages kept in the cellars of the estate until maturity.
