“Believe, dare, act”: this motto articulates the ambition which drove us to create the group and Artémis’s strategy of investing in companies displaying strong growth potential and the ability to become leaders in their sector.
Artémis was created in 1992 to develop investments not directly related to PPR activities. Artémis is a family-owned holding company with investments in a wide array of businesses and a strong international presence.

Artémis manages a highly diverse portfolio of investments that I would divide into two major categories: first and foremost, PPR, which is the linchpin of the first set of investments, which I call “core assets”. These include the auctioneer Christie’s; the Château Latour vineyard; the French news Le Point; and our stake in the Bouygues Group. These assets are strategic investments that create value for us and that we will be supporting and developing over the long term. In addition to my close relationship with PPR, I want to emphasise that this company accounts for 60% of our assets.

The second set of investments comprises more “cyclical”, tactical and financial assets, particularly in insurance, property development and industry.

Artémis is not listed on the stock exchange and is driven by an entrepreneurial spirit that gives it wide scope for action and response. In my mind, that is an essential quality.

We are closely and actively involved in our investments, supporting them at every stage of their development. In my opinion, the role of Artémis is that of a professional shareholder, working alongside operational management to define strategies, select people to implement them, optimise capital structures and monitor performance.

Artémis is an attentive, ambitious and respectful shareholder, drawing its strength from an ability to listen, mutual respect, a culture shared by the various players and curiosity about each individual’s role.
